Robin Williams died two days ago. In Game of Thrones, they would say that his light has gone out of this world. It rained today, but it was not a powerful or cleansing rain; instead, it was erratic and pestilent, whipping into your face with the wind. Maybe the heavens are sobbing. Maybe this is a mark that nothing can scrub away. Rest in peace.
We had a casual-dress day at work in anticipation of the weather, and the firm ordered pizza for everyone. This amounted to 13 pizzas for about 25 people, most of whom would only eat a slice or two, and there were leftover sandwiches and salad from a catered meeting as well. I'm going to eat like a king for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the upcoming week. I was extremely productive today, perhaps because of the cloistered environment, and dispensed with much of the backlog of Harold's case abstracts. After work, I played Borderlands 2 with Sean. We struggled to figure out the in-game chat function while trying to trade weapons. Of course, we were sitting about 20 feet apart and were only separated only by a door; we ended up throwing it open and just calling to each other out loud. Sometimes the low-tech solution is the best kind of solution.
