Thrown together at the eleventh hour, the Bandquet was a resounding success, if less well-attended than in previous years. Jared, Nate, and Sabrina helped me gather materials beforehand, and we all hoofed it over to IV to start in time. Awards were awarded; pizza was eaten; music was listened to; Bookers was late; and fun was had by most, at least. Everyone present was in pep band, with the exception of one brave concert band kid; two representatives of the orchestra had apparently arrived before we got there with the food, demanded pizza, and left when none was forthcoming. The slideshow was a ball of fun, in my estimation, but the downside is that this one can't go public on YouTube.
In the evening, I helped Alaric and LJL build the masks (surprise!) for Molly's early birthday party. Each is themed around a requested Disney character, and I chose Frollo from
Hunchback. (Flames above the eyes? One of my better ideas.) The party was a great time -- Ryan L and Laura took photos by the abandoned toilets, I smoked a cigar or two with Alaric and Kevin B, and madness reigned in our home once again.
