Papier-Mache Mephistopheles

Notes for this entry were lost.

I spent most of today on the couch, reading Heart of Darkness and Waiting for Godot. I should make more time for reading, since that was practically my only hobby between the ages of nine and sixteen. The first was intriguing, if somewhat spoiled for me since I've seen Apocalypse Now; the second is my new favorite play. It is Samuel Beckett's finest work, an existential piece of madness wherein two men wait, and of course I fell in love with it. A dark cloud descended over the mood after Sean informed me that he mistakenly left the heat off in the apartment. There is nothing that I can do at this time, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping our pipes don't burst in the cold.
