Brolumbus Day

The firm is open on Columbus Day, so while everyone else was sleeping in, I was on my way to Park Street. The post office and bank were both closed, so the day was relatively quiet. Emmett brought his son and two of his friends in to work, and the little scamps drank soda and ran around all day. I took a nap to recharge after work, then watched Gotham and The Fifth Element with Nathan, Iris, and later Alaric and Sean. If you haven't seen it before, The Fifth Element comes highly recommended from both Sean and myself. It's the spirit of a B movie, layered with hyper-expensive CGI and set design. Science fiction rubs elbows with mysticism; aliens sing opera; stuff explodes. Bruce Willis is stalwart as ever, but Gary Oldman steals the show as usual. Watch it drunk for bonus points. Hockey news: The Lightning wasted the Habs in a 7-1 playoff revenge match; Stamkos even scored a hat trick!
