Today, my mother and aunt Judy drove into Boston to visit me and take care of some business. We had lunch at Rod Dee II, then went to Bank of America for a typically frustrating experience. When that was dealt with, we cruised over to Fisher Avenue (not without some navigational difficulty) and checked out the new neighborhood. Johnny came over after my folks were on the road again, and we smoked a copious amount and drank Harps, joined in time by Peter and then Jules. We continued the merriment for some time before buying groceries, messily baking brownies, listening to music and talking about life.
Quotes of the day:
"It's Harpoon, minus the poon." - Johnny
"It was good, but it was also shitty, and that's what made it hilarious." - Jules
Playoff section:
East
TBL v. MTL: 3 - 0 2-1 again. Tampa Bay is a very scary team; also my original SCF prediction.
WSH v. NYR: 3 - 1 2-1 again. New York is on the edge, but I'm calling it: we will come back.
West
MIN v. CHI: 0 - 3
CGY v. ANA: 1 - 2
