Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig

          The bus ride home was lengthy, but Jared and I passed some of it watching Machete Kills, and that made all the difference. The sequel to Machete is just as over-the-top gory as the first, with unexpected sci-fi elements thrown in for good measure. Mel Gibson's performance is suitably ludicrous, and Elon Musk's cameo is priceless. Also, SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER Cuba Gooding Jr. and Lady Gaga playing the same character is insane. END SPOILER END SPOILER The setup for the third movie gave me heart palpitations of joy. The Machete films are not deep; they are not thoughtful; but damn, are they fun. At long last, we were home again.
