All day, we prepared for our housecooling party. We made a storage unit run and reloaded the car, then packed the closets with most of the remaining chairs and other assorted stuff. Alaric cleaned the bathroom and took his bed apart (finally), and we disposed of all the remaining wooden slats after a guillotine snapchat to Iris. We moved the couch into the hallway, and left it there (rather than on the stairs) due to laziness and second thoughts. I did some last-minute beautification and felt fully prepared for this one.
The party was well-attended, and we were prepared with battleshots in Alaric and Nathan's room, slap cup in the empty living room, and beer pong in mine. The double-elimination beer pong tournament featured some heroics and was ultimately won by a reconfigured Team Jeb! (Alaric and Nate). Michelle and I came back to win the first round, but were eliminated by the champs-to-be; Jennifer and Lucy made a good showing as well. I really need to note Jennifer's overalls here -- they were amazing. Ultimately, we dozed on the couch in the hallway in that stillness after everyone leaves. You could have heard a solo cup drop.
