This Is How I Adult

A client had gourmet donuts delivered to the office, further proving that my sweet tooth will be the death of me. At L&D, Jessi told us about CRISPR, an incredible new technology that can do cut 'n paste-style gene editing -- the applications range from therapeutics, to agricultural tech, to industrial biotech and research. Next, Tom L taught pre-presentation testosterone-building exercises, essentially, which meant some laughably awkward audience participation was required. Key terms: authoritative, engaging, persuasive, inspiring. Finally, for the benefit of the older folks, Lauren P did a bit on how to make a GIF, and pronounced it correctly.
This week's DOC was a low key huddle in the Creative department. Devin played chillwave music (a designation that mystified the more senior attendees) and we traded stories (magic mushrooms came up...) I left with time to spare, got home and made myself a drink for the GOP debate. A whole host of friends came to watch with me, including Nathan, Michelle, her balloon-artist friend Stephen, Sara, Clay, Charlie, Ian, Kofi and Lindsay. I unleashed a storm of drunk tweets in my booze-fueled rage, and after an apparent eternity of xenophobia, militaristic boot-licking and general incompetency, it was over. The beer knocked me out soon after.
          Quote of the day:
"The irony of this image is that it's not something that should be experienced through sight." - Amanda G re: Braille
"How do you go about pricing a cure?" - Amanda G
"Step into a stall, do your Wonder Woman or whatever you wanna do..." - Tom L
"Who does presentations really well? Lynn and I were talking... does anybody remember Steve Jobs?" - Tom
"Shotgun a bag of wine." - Jamie
