I slept in and dodged telephone calls from New York area codes. Later, after a badly needed room reorganization, I went to Jennifer's and found her and Emily A buzzed and acting ridiculous. The three of us watched Top Model while Sawwon smirked at us from the couch, and Cara poured brown Russians. In time, Jennifer came back home with me to spend some time together. Eventually the alcohol caught up with me and twisted my stomach into a knot, and I crashed hard, waking periodically but never finding the will to rise.
