You Never Can Tell

Work held another boring "how to PowerPoint" meeting, but I was ready with a distraction this time. (12:59 p.m.: "I know we're running out of time, but..." No.) I picked up a single beer at DOC and, multitasking, had a soothing end to the day. At home, I watched the Flyers and Lightning on NBCSN, which I should have known would disappoint, and then streamed the Avalanche v. Wild game in my room, shutting it off when the Avs went up 4-1 in the second period. Turns out, Minnesota would come back with four goals in the third, completing a hat trick for Parise. I'm still kind of sick, and retired early with a headache.
          Quote of the day:
"You're very confident to do that in marker." - older guy on the train, re: my crossword
