Savage Heat, Savage Art, Savage Love

          Though it was less humid than yesterday, baking in a greenhouse-like studio made work today nearly unbearable. I found myself rationing my water and food to push through the day. I distracted myself as best I could by listening to Dan Savage's "Savage Love" podcast (the best and funniest relationship/sex ed advice ever) and fan-created TF2 micspam. While not as difficult energy- and time-wise as my kitchen crew gig at the Red Onion last year, the mindless torpor that this work sinks into is a huge challenge. Naturally, my return home was heralded by a massive thunderstorm, which was pleasant but unfortunately late. After the storm I went out to relax on my swing, but the wood finally broke in half lengthwise, so I ended up in bed before midnight. Fancy that.
          I've decided to mention a random topic today: Art! "Random topic" may become a semi-regular installment, so keep your eyes peeled. My favorite artists are Francis Bacon (20th cent. figurative painter,) Hieronymus Bosch (15th cent. painter of moral/religious narratives,) and René Magritte (20th cent. surrealist.) Below are works by each of them, the Bacon painting (huehuehue) being my favorite work of art. I hope the reader appreciates my taste in art!
