To Raise a Child

I finished the Bandquet slideshow after a marathon photo-sorting session, loading it up with quotes and pictures collected throughout the year. The Bandquet itself was low-key but fun as always; the awards were generally well received, and I got the "In Your Face Paint Award". Andy F and Erika were thanked for their years of service to the council. According to a few people, my slideshow was better than any we've had before. The respectable number of band members that showed enjoyed pizza (mercifully not carried over from UHOP this time), soda, and Settlers of Catan. On the spur of the moment and with all those potential celebrants in one place, we decided to throw an afterparty. Most of the attendants were freshmen, so we broke out the new set of baby bottles and were met with the expected mic of confusion and entertainment. The evening got pretty ridiculous with people riding around on each other's backs, kissing this person and that, and being too drunk overall (including me.)
          Quote of the day:
"That was a classic band romance. I don't think there was any hand holding before the CAA tournament." - JL, re: Mary & Alex
"Slideshow game on point." - Matt T
