Lifted

Back to work. There's pumpkin spice coffee in the kitchen today -- it begins. I forgot to bring money for lunch, but providence (a/k/a an executive meeting) brought me leftover sandwiches and salad. I took an Uber Pool home with a talkative Bruins fan for a driver, changed in a jiffy and headed to Fenway Park. It was deaf night at Fenway, Sox v. Rays, and Jennifer asked me to come along. The home team went down 3-0 in the first. It was a cold night. For a few innings, neither team showed any signs of life and neither pitcher was too impressive. Chilly and hungry, we left in the 7th inning with the Rays still up 3-1. We went home to eat pasta, back massage and pass out. (Bogaerts hit a grand slam in the 8th inning and the Sox won 8-7; plus the Rangers beat the Devils 6-3 in a preseason bout. Good karma?)
